100_0487crop.jpgJames Robinson, an instrumental music teacher with the West Orange public school system, has earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the music education departments of Boston University and Montclair State College.  His studies on the French horn have included instruction from Harry Shapiro of the Boston Symphony, Michael Martin of the New York City Ballet Orchestra, and Jerome Ashby of the New York Philharmonic.

 

James currently plays in the St. Peter by the Sea Orchestra and the Garden State Wind Ensemble, and is the principal horn player of the Summit Symphony Orchestra and the Livingston Symphony.  He has been a featured soloist with the Metropolitan Y Orchestra and the Kean College Faculty Concert Series.100_0486crop.jpg

 

His son Bradley is a horn player as well, at West Orange High School.
